Title

System concept and implementation of a mmW wireless link providing data rates up to 25 Gbit/s

Abstract
A system concept for a high data rate wireless link in the frequency range from 200 to 280 GHz is presented. The link is based on fully integrated millimeter wave circuits (MMICs) and promises data rates up to 40 Gbit/s over a distance of one kilometer. A demonstrator working at a carrier frequency of 220 GHz serves as a proof of concept. Measurements with this demonstrator show data rates up to 25 Gbit/s for a coherent receiving scheme over a distance of 60 cm as well as a bit error rate of 5x 10)-4) at 25 Gbit/s.
