Methodology and Benefit for the equipment integration with standardized PV-equipment communication interface

Sophisticated shop floor IT systems such as Advanced Process Control (APC) Systems are powerful enablers to differentiate from competitors. The guideline presented here helps to reduce the effort of integrating such systems into the mostly heterogeneous production environments using the PV-EIS standard. Benefits that can be achieved are presented within APC examples that were conducted in the course of the European funded project HighSol.
