Titel
Adaptive cooperation and information management for efficient deployment in production
Abstract
In production, a high degree of process automation is well established. However, even in settings with a very high level of automation, some situations still require manual interference: e.g. in case of quality issues or in case the configuration of a machine is required to be changed. Other issues arise from resource management, availability of resources and manufacturing logistics. The research project EPIK evaluates an approach to improve efficiency of this manual work within manufacturing enterprises. Three aspects characterize the approach of the project: Optimal deployment of human resources and reduction of stand-by hours, high quality task assignment and support of the individual employee by providing task and context related tools and information.
