Omnidirectional low-dispersive UWB-antenna
Abstract
The pulse distortion is mainly influenced by the frequency dependend path loss. Because of the bandwidth of ultra-wideband (UWB) antennas, it is necessary to compensate that effect. This will lead to a flat transfer function for ideal pulse transmission. We will present an UWB-Antenna which neutralises the dispersion effect with help of its shape. The UWB-Antennas working range is from 1 to 11 GHz. In this range the low-dispersive behaviour is nearly omnidirectional. With using this antennas it is possible to transmit a signal with minimal dispersion effects.
