Titel
Tunable diode laser line width and tuning measurements for gas analysis monitoring
Abstract
A technique for time resolved determination of tuning rate and line width is proposed which allows online system control for tunable diode laser spectroscopy, a proven tool for scientific gas analysis below part per billion concentrations. With this innovative feature, the laser systems have improved potential for industrial process control and may become a secondary standard for example for accurate partial pressure measurements by exact determination of a gas absorption profile, minimizing the need for calibration gases. The demonstrated technique makes use of delayed self-heterodyning.
