Titel
Automatic Tuning of Electronic Circuits
Abstract
Electronic circuits for high frequencies, e.g. in telecommunications, are still built with analogue components. Unfortunately, the characteristics of analogue components vary statistically within the tolerances. In order to compensate for component variations in high frequency circuits additional circuits are integrated which can be adapted by variable tuning elements (e.g. variable resistors). In a manufacturing process every circuit has to be tuned after assembling and connecting the components. Therefore, in every production line of high frequency circuits tuning stations are integrated: According to the specification an electronic signal is fed into the module and the output signal is displayed. In this paper a software module for automatic tuning is presented which contains four different tuning strategies. In every situation the tuning tool chooses the most suitable one.
