Towards a strong ISO standard on service robot safety

Presentation held at European Robotics Forum 2011, held on April 6-8, 2011 in Vasteras, Sweden
Abstract
Current product visions for service robots include close interaction with the human. When transferring these visions to products, safety aspects are a great challenge. To support researchers and manufacturers in designing safe systems, the safety standard ISO 13482 is developed in ISO committee TC184/SC2.
