A pilot-Iine using a new and successful method for the up-scaled synthesis of single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWNT) - capable of synthesizing kg 1 week of almost defect-free SWNT - is presented. In addition, the same method allows the preferential synthesis of either semiconducting or metallic SWNT. The availability, selectivity and advanced processing conditions make this SWNT material very promising for application-targeted research and development.
