Titel
European wind energy information network - Euwinet
Abstract
Depending on different political, economical and climatically conditions, the technical development and application of wind power use in the EU the member states have shown rather uneven. As one contribution to improve the European wide knowledge of wind power's state of the art and future prospects an internet based information system EUWINet has been set up in an ALTENER project. EUWINet is developed and operated by five European partners, CIEMAT of Spain, EMD of Denmark, KEMA of The Netherlands, VTT of Finland and ISET of Germany and represents the most up-to-date information server regarding wind energy use in Europe. Today, more than 10.000 projects with about 20.000 wind turbine generators are stored in the EUWINet database, representing 90 % of the installed wind capacity in Europe.
