Titel
New methods in architectural investigations to evaluate the acoustic qualities of concert halls
Abstract
Subjective assessments of some concert halls were compared with parameters describing the sound field physical characteristics. Artificial heads were used to receive the acoustic signals and the differences they detected in the sound field were related to physical variables such as position and reverberation time. Factor analysis revealed some independent factors which describe hall quality better than the reduced number previously used.
