Architecture for VLSI-circuits in digital signal processing

The progress in technology of VLSI-circuits enables economical hardware implementation of highly sophisticated signal processing algorithms. This provides the capability of realizing a signal process or with uniform hardware for wide real-time-applications. The adaption of the VLSI-circuit to special applications is possible by appropriate microprogram-software.
