Title
Video telephone at the workplace
Abstract
In order to become familiar with the problems of the use of video telephones at the workplace in the most realistic circumstances, the equipment was supplied to a selected group of users in the Heinrich Hertz Institute for a year's field trial. The trial included comprehensive data collection in the form of users' reports and measurements on the equipment. The results show that for effective use of this new communication medium in the office, the terminals as well as the environment must be matched to the particular requirements of the work activity.
