Abstract
DE 102009013878 B3 UPAB: 20100527 NOVELTY - The arrangement has an optical evaluation unit (2) with two optical arms (5, 6) and an optical coupler (11) for merging light guided in the arms. An output of the coupler is optically connected with a light-sensitive element (12). The evaluation unit comprises a polarizing beam splitter (7) e.g. transverse electric splitter, and the optical arms are projected from the beam splitter. A measuring wave guide (1) is connected upstream to an optical input of the beam splitter. A polarization converter (10) is arranged in a path of the optical arms. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for a method for detecting a substance and/or a mechanical load. USE - Optical sensor arrangement i.e. bio sensor, for detecting a concentration of a substance and/or a mechanical load (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - The measuring wave guide is connected upstream to the optical input of the beam splitter, and the polarization converter is arranged in the path of the optical arms, thus realizing measuring sensitivity, and utilizing the arrangement even in critical environment with respect to electrical field or electrical conductor.
