Abstract
The interconnection of a 1.531/1.308 mu m bidirectional direct detection communication system and a 1.551 ... 1.552 mu m coherent TV-distribution system is reported and critical components are discussed. No degradation of the performance of the interconnected system compared to the subsystems measured alone was observed.
