Abstract
Summary form only given. Injection-locked bistable switching has recently attained interest, because of its high speed potential. Performing all-optical signal regeneration at 5 Gbit/s, we demonstrate high speed switching in the injection locked state of semiconductor lasers. The experiments were performed with a 1.55 mu m two section Fabry-Perot ridge waveguide semiconductor lasers.
