Titel
Sensor-based activity visualization for monitoring daily schedules
Abstract
This thesis addresses a very common issue of people suffering from dementia: the ability to comply with a personal daily schedule. An assistive health care application is designed to recognize a person's daily activities with the help of body-attached acceleration sensors. A visualization of daily activities enables caregivers to supervise the person affected. Moreover, all activities can be compared to a template activity schedule, the supervised person is supposed to follow. The application helps caregivers and relatives to stay informed about a person's activities and take action if irregularities occur.
