Titel
Nonlinear optical intensity filters: Experiment and design rules
Abstract
A noise regeneration experiment with a highly asymmetric nonlinear optical loop mirror (NOLM) is compared with numerical calculations. For different fiber types, NOLM design rules for noise reduction and high bit rate application are given.
