The recyclability evaluation for global product, which is uniformly designed to fit requirements for all ship-to countries, requires considering difference of recycling flow from one country to another. Recycling rate and recycling fee about assumed 3 countries were evaluated. The objective was to prove the usefulness of recyclability evaluation for checking compliance with recycling related laws and considering how to improve product design in terms of both compliance and economical view. Rare metal recycling is the other topic. Recycling is increasingly necessary due to price rising and shortage in supply. Based on economical balance of EoL treatment, the goal of recycle conscious design to promote rare metal recycling was proposed.
