Abstract
Individual and organisational competences are the key and the driving element of the performance of an organisation. Correspondingly, business performance depends on the alignment of competences with business and work processes. Against this background, this article refers to approaches and solutions of competence assessment which combine the individual and organisational competence development. By means of combined approaches it should be possible to identify those competences which should be acquired by individual employees to put new strategic aims of the organisation into practice.
