Titel
Utilisation of task-specific information in customised production environments
Abstract
During assembly of customized products, information is needed about the individual configuration of the products for every work order. Switch cabinets and electrical enclosures are examples of this. Based on a modular grid, the interiors can be customized, positioned and fixed according to layouts individualized by end users. Without this information, the cabinets cannot be assembled. Therefore, this information is for the assembly process an elementary production factor like physical material. The provision of this kind of information has to be designed thoroughly as it is recommended for all other elements of working cells as well. The Lean Management paradigm comprises of a set of principles and methods for the planning of production facilities. Within this paper the application of the Lean-Method "5S" to the information design will be presented together with a Shop-Floor-Portal, which offers task-specific information to workers.
