Titel
Gallium nitride MMICs for future reconnaissance and imaging applications
Abstract
For next generation active electronically scanned array (AESA) radars, Gallium Nitride (GaN) monolithic microwave integrated circuit (MMIC) power amplifiers, combined with advanced circuit and module technology, are highly suitable for airborne and space borne reconnaissance and imaging for safety and security based on their outstanding properties. An independent European supply chain is being created for the manufacturing of MMIC in Europe to support future space systems that can used effectively for observation and monitoring, e.g., of natural disasters.
