Title

Simultaneous five-axis-machining of complex shaped parts

Abstract
The manufacture of complex shaped parts like turbine blades or integral parts such as BLISK (blade integrated disk) require the use of highly efficient production technologies such as simultaneous five-axis-machining. This paprefocused on recent developments of the potentials of five-axis-machining for complex shaped parts based on various investigations at the Fraunhofer IPT. Special focus is pointed to the analysis and optimization of NC- data regarding the kinematics and dynamic behavioour of the machine tool including controller -related aspects and the generation of machine tool optimized NC-programs. This includes the verification of theoretical and practical approaches to generate high quality NC-programs for five-axis-machining.
