Abstract
Der vorliegende Proceedingsband enthält einige ausgewählte Vorträge, die auf dem Workshop zur "Jahrestagung der osteuropäischen Fachinformationszentren" gehalten wurden, enthalten. Die Beiträge geben einen guten Überblick über die informationstechnologischen Entwicklungen in Bibliotheken und Informationszentren in Mittel- und Osteuropa und stellen erfolgreiche Kooperationsprojekte zwischen Ost und West vor.

This Proceedings Volume contains a selection of the papers presented at the workshop held in the framework of the "48th Annual Members' Meeting of the International Center for Scientific and Technical Information (ICSTI)". Included were above all the papers presented by Eastern European participants. The contributions provide a cross-sectional survey of the information technology developments at some libraries and information facilities of Central and Eastern Europe and includes demonstrations of successful East-West cooperation projects.
